First I want to personally thank every single one of you who have listened to an episode of Help Me Abide. The feedback and support we have received has been so encouraging and Uplifting. Our team is very grateful to have the opportunity to fill a need in the podcast world by sharing inspiring stories of remarkable independent fundamental baptist women of faith who continue to persevere through life's challenges.
Season 3 is right around the corner and we are excited to announce this seasons theme will be overcomers. Our guests will be Women who have been faced with insurmountable challenges yet have not only kept their faith but are thriving as they reach others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
To conclude this summers bonus season our podcast team has decided, after a few requests, to share my personal testimony. I gave this talk at our ladies conference a decade ago. At the end of the episode I will give a brief update. to be honest I am really hesitant to share this with you all , I really dont feel like I am the most deserving or qualified to be considered an overcomer, so many others have gone through so much more than I have. My hope is that my story will glorify God and offer hope to those who are hurting.

Todays episode we are ecstatic to have our very own Faith Baptist Church home grown missionary Tonya Alvarez as our guest. Tonya is a devoted missionary who has dedicated her life to serving the people of Belize. She has been living in Belize for over 14 years, working tirelessly to proclaim the gospel to the Belizean people. They have started two churches and had a big day on property with over 250 people in attendance. They also had an off property big day with over 450 in attendance and 85 of those precious souls received Christ as their Saviour. In this episode, Tonya will share her experiences, insights, and challenges as a missionary. Her favorite food in Belize is Escabeche – Its a chicken and onion soup flavored with lime juice served with hot corn tortillas. Her husband has started 2 churches and over 20 of their converts are now missionaries, evangelists, pastors and deacons. I really really really like Missy, ever since the first time we talked I knew she was my kind of people. She is very real and knows what she believes and why she believes it. She is unapologetic about her love for the Bible and the standards and convictions she holds to, I only wish we lived closer. Todays episode we are so happy to have one of my very favorite friends Lindsey Osgood as our guest. Lindsey is a missionary who has dedicated her life to serving the people of Ghana, west Africa. She has been living on the mission field for over 17 years, working tirelessly to proclaim the gospel to the Ghanian people. The Ghana team they are on has helped start 47 churches in Ghana and the surrounding countries. In addition to her missionary work, Lindsey is a talented musician. She serves as the music coordinator for her church in Africa and teaches piano classes. Her music ministry has expanded as she has begun writing her own songs. There is nothing fake about Lindsey, she doesn’t pretend to be something she isn't. I have always admired her passion to make sure things are done right and her perseverance to endure hard things for the cause of Christ. She has been living on the mission field for over 20 years, working tirelessly to proclaim the gospel to the bulgarian people. Through her families ministry over two million homes in Bulgaria have been personally given a John/Romans along with a Gospel tract. Katie is soft spoken and would never clamor for attention, instead like Mary, she ponders things deeply in her heart. I personally loved having this conversation with her. She has been living in the Philippines for over 46 years. Whenever I am speaking with Becky it is so clear to me that she is not impressed with herself, to point that she doesn’t even want to talk about herself at all. It was so abundantly evident to me that this woman has not allowed their famous and incredible ministry to create a sense of pride in her heart. She does not flaunt who she is, rather she shies away from any praise I attempted to give her. Her humility draws me to want to know even more about her.
